Episode10 - To nem ou (I cant even/or whatever)

MAY 6, 2019
*sorry this post is so late Carley has decided that Mama Nic
isn't busy enough...so now she gets to type this up for her.
Alright here we are again, this week flew by! This week was SUPER awesome, here are some of the Highlights.

Monday was P-day but not really because we woke up at 4:50AM to go to the airport a sister from the mission is very sick and she needed to go home. So because of that I was put in a TRIO the rest of Monday and Tuesday which was a great experience because guess what? the sister joining us knows English....go trio!
Sister Santos - From Brazil
Sister Detlegfsen - From Argentina (knows English)
Sister Sanovich - From America (that's me) #ohwhatatrio

Wednesday a Milagre (Miracle) happened! We went to an appointment where Sister Santos was giving the lesson and I legit knew what was going on. Almost EVERY WORD of it. #blessed  Then after this we went to a new couple and I was asked to teach the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I did it ALL BY MYSELF...can you give me a WOOT WOOT!!!!

Thursday we made some pastel (pastry) and went to a weekly planing meeting.  President wanted all the missionaries to watch the Safety Zone videos so we didn't really do much of anything until 4pm.

Friday we had Zone Conference and that was an ABSOLUTE BLAST.  I was able to meet so many other missionaries.  We woke up at 4:30am to get there so that was not so fun....but it was amazing to speak English with the other missionaries. Anytime I get to speak English we like to call it "English Time for Carley."

I will explain the title of this weeks email.  We were hanging out for the interviews with President and for some reason we started talking about "Funky" music. So all of a sudden one of our District Leaders starts singing a popular "Funky" song which had the word "to nem ou" (which means "I can't even/or whatever" in it) and I guess that lyric stayed with us, because for the rest of the weekend that's all Sister Santos would say to each other.
"to new ou"
(I can't even/or whatever)

Saturday we visited with Ivonette and confirmed her baptism for this upcoming SATURDAY can you believe it?? Blessed.

Sunday we had Stake Conference which was pretty cool.  My companion turns to me and says "I wish you could have understood everything it was that good." Yeah so do I...lol
The Elders had a baptism so went to that and it was incredible the spirit was so strong.
Our Sunday lunch appointment was clear out in the middle of no where, so the family came and picked us up and brought us back to the apartment which was very nice.  The scenery there was ABSOLUTELY  BEAUTIFUL!!!

As you all know it was May the 4th and Cinco De Mayo this past week. However, my companion did not know about either one of these holidays. #triste (#sad) But I hope you all enjoyed these holidays because that are two of my favorites.

It's suppose to be Winter here and people keep talking about how COLD it is and how COLD it's going to get...but I am still dying of the heat.

Scripture for the week is found in Proverbs 3:5 & 6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and learn not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths

Keep having FAITH  and Confidence in Christ, you will have milagres (Miracles)

Remember the Church is TRUE, the Book is BLUE & God Loves you!!!!
Love you ALL,
Sister Sanovich
