Season 2 Episode 16

Sister Feitosa, Sister   , Sister Dias and ME!!!
December 16, 2019

Hello!!! I will give you the short run down, with a bunch of pictures for the past week…

Sister ROMERO  was transferred and I received my new companion on Tuesday afternoon! Sister Dias, from Amapá Brasil! I met her in the CTM and we got here in the mission together! She will have 9 months this week in the mission! This is super fun and I am learning a bunch with her, and the other sisters that we live with. I really enjoy it because I love being here with 3 Brazilians in the house! I am learning a bunch of Portuguese!!! Hahaha, but to celebrate her arrival we went to get esfihas! it was definitely a highlight of her arriving here with us…

Wednesday we worked and we talked to a whole bunch of people!! We met a bunch of new people and we got to teach a lesson to Anny, she is just awesome! She has shown us that she loves all the commandments and everything that we have taught her so far.

Thursday- PLANNING!!! So we planned today and had a great time, it was really really hot so we ended up going and getting a coca cola, when we got back to the house… Then it started to be a complete downpour! We went out and danced in the RAIN!!!!! We had so much fun and then we got back to work!

Friday- Contacts, contacts, contacts! But I love it! This time of the year we are talking about the Christmas theme of “Light the World” and how we can truly become a light to others, and the true light of Christ. We were talking about Christmas with everyone that we could see on the streets!

The rest of the week was great, not too much happened, we have had a whole bunch of trying to meet new people to teach, which has been incredible!!

Christmas Zone Conference
But Today- Monday- PDAY! also Conferencia de Natal! (Christmas Conference) it was so much fun, it was a whole bunch of different zones all together and I was able to see a whole bunch of my friends that I haven't seen in a very long time!! Funny to see that this time I could actually understand them, compared to when I met them at the beginning of the mission and I couldn’t understand a word! Hahahaha but it was really fun and we talked about Christ a bunch, and all of the things he did for each of us! How he loves each and every single one of us!

I truly love this time of the year, especially as a missionary, being able to talk about Christ and his birth. Which has been the best thing we can possibly do! Here is a scripture I wanted to share and here is the little motivation to match the light the world theme!!! 3 Nefi 12:14-16

Season 2 Episode 15

December 09, 2019

Okay so this week was quite interesting, and we had a few fun things going on...
Some Scenery

Monday, after we emailed our families we got our favorite p-day treat calzones! Then we headed to a lesson with Maryanne and her kids. It was really spiritual, and we left their house really excited! We taught about the Holy Ghost in our lives and the importance of prayer and how it really can bring us so much peace. It’s fun to see how almost every time we teach lessons that the people we teach mention that we have such a light and a peace about us and I’m thankful to hear this!

Tuesday we taught Anny about the Word of Wisdom and she agreed with everything  we were teaching her about how important our health is and that there are things we should not do in order to not put our health at risk. It was a little ironic that at the same time as we were teaching about this, we could see a few drug deals go down at the park across from her house. In the meantime we got to read some messages she had sent to the Elder that gave us her information, she was so thankful and she told him we are helping her get ready to be baptized!

Us with Anny
Wednesday- I was sick and we ended up staying inside all day but at night we went out and we found a really long street close to our house and clapped so many new doors!! We got a few different peoples’ information and it was good to meet so many new people.

Thursday- Today we ended up clapping more doors!! On our adventure clapping doors we found a cute little pond that they call a lake!

Friday- We went back to Anny´s house and her sister in-law saw a photo that we took with Anny on Wednesday and she told us that my face looks like a moon and that my comp looks like a ceiling fan, so that was a little random but we love Brasil.

Saturday- We clapped some more doors today, and found some really pretty flowers so we couldn't resist taking pictures with them!

Sunday- Today was transfers and we got a call from our mission president telling us that, Sister Romero will be leaving and I will be staying here and getting a new companion tomorrow! I will let you all know how that goes!

Have a great week and don't forget how much our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of you!!!

Season 2 Episode 14 9 Meses in Brazil...

December 02, 2019
Hello!! I don’t have too much time this week, but i just wanted to give you all a little update about my week!
Tuesday,  Sister Romero hit 5 meses in the mission, needless to say we got to celebrate that!

Wednesday, I hit 9 months in the mission aka HUMP DAYYYY! Halfway there! It's so crazy that I am already halfway and that time is passing so quickly!

Thursday!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!  It was such a fun day! Sister Romero made pancakes and buttermilk syrup, for breakfast and it was super yummy and felt very American! Then we were able to talk to our families! It was such a fun day and such a blessing to be able to share one of my favorite holidays with them. The rest of the week wasn't too crazy, we are just working hard here in Rio Tavares trying to find and teach new people!

But with it being Thanksgiving I just wanted to share a few of the things I am thankful for this year…
*My family, and the knowledge that I have that families are eternal

*The restored gospel here on the earth today, and all the happiness it brings in my life!
*Which includes a living prophet and the Apostles.
*Reading the Book of Mormon and being able to come closer and closer unto Christ.
*Being here on the mission and being able to help others see the hand of Heavenly Father and our Savior in their lives. But also in my life, being able to see the many miracles Heavenly Father puts into my life everyday
*Every single one of my companions that I have been able to learn and grow with them, that I have been able to see why Heavenly Father put these sisters in my life.
*Pure happiness that is brought through our Savior

I am so thankful for all of these things and I love the Gospel so much!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!!

Love, Sister Sanovich
