Episode 8 - Mais Portugues sol e chuva (More sunshine and rain)

Celebrated 1 month in the Mission (a little late)
Wooh! This week has flown by, I can't believe I am emailing again already.  I made up an analogy this week so here it goes...You know how when you turn on a RAP song and you only pick up a few words in it and it's just sounds not REAL WORDS?  Well that is how it is every second of everyday for me!  lol  Portuguese is really AWESOME but for reals it is also SUPER HARD.  This week has been great here is the scoop..

Monday: I got to email you all and speak with the family...in the BEST language there is (English) what more could I ask for?

Tuesday:  We met this Super CRAZY lady that was baptized because she liked the missionaries (super sad to me) but I guess that happens a lot here.  Then we had some sisters come to stay in our apartment for the night we made some REAL GOOD FOOD!  In other news we were teaching this other lady and all of sudden she says "Can I take a picture of you?"  I guess because I am from the United States she thought that was cool, so I had to say YES. #101Brasil

Wednesday: What a dia! (day)  We feasted again we made some yummy tacos for lunch. They really don't do dinner here so its usually the last meal of the day.  The rest of the day wasn't real exciting, but we were on this street and this guy stopped us, I thought I recognized him, but I wasn't sure why??  Then all of a sudden he goes you taught me and my family before.  I would like you to come teach us more. #milagres (#miracles)

Thursday:  The highlight of the day was when me and my companion had been teaching a lady and I had just finished speaking in what I thought was Portuguese the lady says to my companion "I don't understand when she speaks." lol  In my head I thought the same thing "I don't understand when you speak either."

Friday:  No one here works on the weekend of Pascoa. (Easter) So no one really wants to talk to us.  We ended up walking all around in the GOOD OLD BRAZILIAN HEAT and that was just great.  We were able to share a little message with some people that were on the street about Pascoa. (Easter) Then we headed back to the apartment and decided to try to make some churros with some dulce de leite - OKAY...AMAZING!

Saturday:  We visited a lady that had a challenge to read the Book of Mormon and to pray.  We asked her about her experience and she said "She received such a strong feeling that our message is TRUE."  Blessings...she is going to baptized on May 4th.  After this amazing experience it started to rain and it continued to rain all day.  There was a relief society activity in the evening so we ended up visiting the members before that.  The relief society activity was super fun!

Sunday:  Pascoa! Wahoo! What a great day! Church was "Maravilhoso" (Marvelous) and the members gave us some yummy chocolate.  We then went to our lunch appointment we ATE SO SO much. ay ay ay!  Then we walked around our area in the rain all day with no success, it was lovely.

That's about all for the week.
Here is a scripture for the week Mosiah 4:9 Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend.

Believe in God = Milagres (Miracles)

The Church is True I believe this with all my heart.
The Book is BLUE and always remember God LOVES YOU.
