Season 2 Episode 21 LOUCO (Crazy)

January 20, 2020

Hello my friends! This week was crazyyyy, just like the last few weeks have been too!

Tuesday - We went to lunch, but when we got to their house the Irmã told us that we didn’t have lunch with her, even though she marked with us on Sunday. She did end up giving us a ride to the house of the family that is from Venezuela’s house where we were supposed to have lunch and she hadn’t made lunch yet, so that was good!!  We left our lunch with them and headed to the bus terminal. Once we got there, we got a call from the other sisters that one of them was going to be emergency transferred out of our area! They also told us that President was headed to our apartment and would be picking her up right now!  We ran home and helped her pack up! Then we stayed in a trio for the rest of the day. Later that night at around 10:15pm we get a phone call from President saying that they will pass by our house with her new companion around midnight. Exactly at midnight we get a call saying that they are here with her new companion! It has been a lot of fun to get to know her the past couple of days, she is very cool and is from a state here in Brasil called Espirito Santo! (Holy Ghost) lol!!

Wednesday - We talked to a bunch of people in the streets and we met a couple that own a salon and they told us that they had already met with other sisters before! They had a bunch of questions and gave us some Coca Cola and chocolate, it was one of the nicest things!

Thursday - Wasn’t too exciting, and nothing really happened!

Friday - WAS GREAT! After lunch we went to the Centro to meet up with some of the other missionaries to do a choir for our Mission Tour that is coming up soon! It’s going to be super cool, and I’m excited for it!

Saturday - We went to lunch and then we headed to the new airport in our area to see what is was like and to try to talk to some new people as well. We ended getting Starbucks Hot Chocolate and tried talking to people! When we were getting on the bus, I met a couple from Germany that spoke English. Let me tell you, I have never been so nervous to speak English to anyone in my life! Haha!! They have been traveling around the different countries in South America and don’t speak any Portuguese, so when I met them, they were very confused! I was glad that I could help a little bit! Then we had marked visit with the Venezuelan family in our ward, the same family from our lunch on Tuesday. They wanted to teach us how to make some traditional Venezuelan food! After we ate some very delicious food, we shared a quick message about prayer with their family. It was awesome because afterwards the Irmã bore her testimony about prayer. She also told us that on Tuesday before we got there, she was struggling a bit (she is pregnant and is dealing with some depression). She was praying while she was making lunch. Then we showed up and helped her and shared a message with her, that she told us was a light that she was needing in that moment. It was neat to be able to see the difference we can have in people’s lives, especially when sometimes the work isn’t that great, that we can help the members that live here too! Afterwards, we were heading home and saw a car motorcycle accident!!! We almost went straight home but one of the sisters was needing to go to the pharmacy across the street! We ended up driving right pass the accident and saw that it was one of the delivery drivers that works for our bishop! When we got there, he was trying to contact Bishop! We told him that we would go and tell the Bishop what had happened for him. Luckily it wasn’t anything too bad, just a few scrapes! It was really good that we passed by when we did!

Sunday - Was transfers, and I will be staying with Sister Dias here in Rio Tavares for another transfer!!

I would like to share a quick scripture Moroni 8:3…talks about “YOU” being in my prayers.
EVERY ONE of YOU are in my prayers.  I’m so thankful that I can pray and that the Lord is willing to answer our prayers too! They really are so powerful, so don’t forget to kneel and talk to our Heavenly Father!!!

Love you all – Sister Sanovich
