Week ending June 30th, 2019
Okay so I haven't sent an email in a while, but I promise I'm alive! So much has happened in the past 3 weeks, I will tell you all about it!

So to start off the week we had a crazy thing happened, we almost didn't have our zone conference! Which everyone knows that you look forward to Zone Conferences. But Presidents family was coming to visit the day our zone conference was scheduled. But our District leader insisted we still have it, instead of a P-day. It's super cool to see all the other missionaries and to get inspired by them. I was grateful that OUR District Leader felt the importance of still having our conference.
One day we were stopping by our recent convert, Jessica's house. She wasn't home but her mom was. Her mom is super awesome but she definitely has a few struggled, so we shared a message about prayer with her, it was incredible... The spirit was so strong! And she just kept that message was exactly what she needed to hear! The message we shared with Paula is from a talk in the Liahona from February 2019, titled "A Personal Relationship with our Heavenly Father through Prayer" by Elder Juan A. Uceda. This talk is amazing and talks about the importance of prayer. I want all of you to read it! It will change your life! I know that prayer is essential for us to be completely converted!
Sister Santos and I walked past a house and a little old lady was sitting outside, so we stopped and wanted to share a message. And to say the least it was one of the funniest experiences I have had. So every couple of seconds she started to do something, she starts to sing "Meu Amorrr" Then she pulls out her Instagram and asks us if we know how to post pictures, so we helped her post about 8 pictures. Each with a new grandchild and she was using filters and everything. It was awesome!

So we also had 2 baptisms! For Alan, he is 13 and anyone that meets him says that he is super special and amazing. And Janaina, she's 22 and super funny too. So Friday we had their interviews with the elders and after I was able to talk with the family for Cassidy and Tyler's wedding! Woot! Congrats newlyweds! But that was super cool! The baptisms were super awesome and almost the entire ward showed up! All the elders were like is this all of Efapi?, and we were like YES! our ward is super cool! Our stake had 11 baptisms from the missionaries it was so neat!
Sunday, transfers day... 4:30pm almost 5 in the afternoon we get a call from President that Sister Santos will be transferred to be with my companion from the CTM (Sister Oldham) and will be getting a new companion for her last transfer in the mission! we go to say goodbyes to some members, and teach a few lessons. We get another call at almost 8pm telling us that my new companion will be arriving at 5:30 am and Sister Santos will be leaving at 7am... And she was NOT packed.... So we finish up and ran back to the apartment to pack and clean up a bit... It was the craziest thing ever! Then the next morning we are all ready to go. Sister Santos calls our leaders to confirm.. And he says No you aren't leaving until 7PM at night, but yes Sister Amorim is arriving at 5:30am So that was kinda fun! The 3 of us had a mini P-day together! we ate tart at Jessica's! The rest of the week was way super awesome! I love my new companion, and she is an amazing missionary! I'm going to learn a lot from her! She loves English and so sometimes we speak English/Portuguese and that's fun! But anyways we are teaching a few super cool people and basically all of them showed up to Festa Junhina Saturday. It was super fun, Sister Amorim is from Forta Leza and Festa Junhina is HUGE there so we were excited that the party was a success!
Thought for the week comes from the talk I spoke about by Elder Juan A. Uceda of the Seventy
Mark 5:36 The Savior said "Be not afraid, only believe" Believe that God the Father will listen to you. Believe that He "will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart (D&C 8:2) Believe that you-YES-YOU-can feel peace and comfort. Believe that you can receive spiritual power to overcome.
I love you all!
