Season 1: Episode 2 - Umidade e quente e portugues (humidity, heat and Portuguese)

March 12, 2019

Hi Friends & Family...so its been 2 weeks here in the CTM...WOW time flies by when you are having a good time.  Even though the language has been a struggle.  I LOVE it HERE so much.

Basically the title of this email describes my life perfectly right now...humidity and heat and attempting Portuguese....haha

Sooo... deixa eu te contar uma coisa (let me tell you something)

This week has been sooo crazy but, I felt like it went so quickly. I only have 40 minutes each week to email EVERYONE. My time here is limited so I apologize for my short emails...but here are some of the highlights.

Tuesday: Got to email so that was pretty rad. We taught a lesson in Portuguese and it was rough #portugueseishard

Wednesday: Was pdayyyyy and we went to the Sao Paulo Temple and we walked around a bit which was so AMAZING.

Thursday: Sister Oldham and I got kinda sick but...we are all good!
(mama nic here-what??? sick?? you never said anything about being sick???)

Friday: We went to the police station which was fun and super crazy
(mama nic here-again...WHY did you go to the Police Station?? should I BE WORRIED?)

Saturday: We had the chance to leave the CTM so that we could go to see the Doctor and get a prescription so that was definitely the highlight of the day.
(ONCE AGAIN...mama nic here-should I be concerned with the lack of details??)

Sunday: Was EXCITING and used to be really relaxing, but...Sister Oldham and I got called to be Sister Training Leaders which is going to be more meetings and CRAZY BUSY. But I am feeling very humbled and blessed for this opportunity to serve the sisters here.  The one meeting is with the Leaders and we get caught up with what is going on with the Sisters in our Zone.

FUN FACT ~ the Brazilian Sisters like to hit on the Elders and try to hold their hands and write them notes so that's pretty ENTERTAINING...lol.

Monday: we has splits with Brazilian Sisters and I definitely thought I knew MORE than I really do...hahaha
I didn't understand much #portugueseishard

Please say a prayer for me that I will have an understanding of this language.
Love you all sooo much and I hope you have an amazing semana!!!! (week)

The book is blue & the church is true!!!
XOXO
